It took me a few months and a good amount of stress/time/money but i finally got her runnin. I learned a ton along the way: friends that are truly friends and will go out of their way to lend a helping hand, people who seem like friends until you ask for help and they can't be found, and the best..people who just want to fuck you over and take all of your money. Many days and nights were spent in my garage, from the morning/afternoon til all hours of the night. Some night's ending with one less problem and some nights ending with good laughs, talks, tall cans and smokes. All i can say is she's fucking amazing and i can't wait to start on the next one!

Sunday about a month back..or a Saturday..

The seat my bike came with was some shitty looking cafe style one. Up until this day i had ridden my bike without it and just sat on the plastic from the battery due to having a fucking motorcycle and wanting to ride it!

I even had an old man in East L.A. ask me where my seat was at. He started to reminisce about his younger days of riding a motorcycle. I told him about how i planned to chop the bike but he didn't understand, though he did like the straight pipes. Anyways i talked to my friend Tony and we planned to meet up and ride around. Before i left to meet up with him i grabbed an old torn up Deep Purple shirt and a few zip ties and there you have it!

We rode around for a bit, didn't have anything planned so we decided to ride to the top of the local mountains, heading up Santa Anita Blvd. We made it about half way until Tony's bike started to bog out so we pulled over and checked out the view for a bit.

I don't remember what the hell i was checking out on my bike..maybe the carbs..?

We headed back down the mountain and pulled over and chilled for a bit. By the end of the day both of our bikes were running like shit (my bike having charging system problems) but it was a pretty fun day. One of many more to come!

Pulled out the sound deadener and all the other crap to see the real deal

Fit the replacement before i chopped the original out since aftermarket stuff never fits just like how it didn't. I had to cut the left corner to make the bend

Cut out the old metal and coated the edges of the good sheet metal i was welding to with Rust mort sealer, etching primer, and regular black primer before i welded in the replacement pan

Here's the replacement stitch welded in

And here's the bottom prepped to be stitch welded..you can only stitch weld for about an inch til you start to warp the sheet metal..so its pretty much stitch weld an inch then leave an inch gap and start another continuous stitch weld

In the end it worked out..this picture is w/out the seal sealer on the top or bottom of the car but overall i think the job was a success

My car

Scoped the floor pans when my car was on a lift to see if i could find any cancer rust. All i found was the drivers side floor and decided to go in for a closer look

I ended up needing one of these..I've done patch work on panels before but nothin to heavy

1 brake and fuel line chop and repair later i cut the son of a bitch out

I was always told aftermarket shit usually fits weird and your damn right it does..especially when you have original body lines that aren't reproduced in the aftermarket shit..whatever, took a few hours but got this guy set to go in

Forgot to take more pictures but this is pretty much the end result..not bad for my first decent size repair..after this picture i sprayed some more etching primer and added all of the seam sealer to the top and bottom of the car

First 10 years don’t count. You can’t even remember what you did.

The first 20 years don’t really count either, at least for most Asians. You’re probably still working your eyeballs out over some paper degree.

By the time you hit 50, your life tapers off. Retirement is just around the corner. There’s no more need to strive or to fight for anything. Whatever you have, you already have. Whatever you don’t have, you’ve come to terms with it. You’ve come to accept your own life for what it is. Make friends, not enemies. There is nothing much left to fight for. At this age, you’re looking at comfort, not sacrifice. You’ll probably be thinking, “It’s too late to make any major changes in my life. But do I really want to change? What if I try to, then I realize the change was not worth the effort? I no longer have the luxury of time. So instead of taking a chance to change, I think it will be more worthwhile to make the most of what I already have and enjoy it. Rather than set out for something I may not really get anyway.”

By the time you are 60, you will be living off the last of your days. Your thoughts are no longer about the future. Your thoughts will be about the past. So what are you doing now?

Understand that your first 20 years don’t count, and your last 20 doesn’t either. You only have 30 years of real living. It’s between your 20th year and your 50th year.

You wake up one day and realize you’re almost 30. What have you done with your first real decade? You have two more left.

From that two decades, take away the amount of time you spend sleeping. 6 hours is insufficient, 8 hours is ideal. Let’s say you do an average 7. That’s 6 years. You have 14 years left.

You spend an average of 1.5 hours on the road each day, to get to work and to get home. Add in those extra hours you spend going to the market, going out for meals, travelling back to your hometown, getting to leisure venues. Take off 2 years. You have 12 years left.

12 years is about the same amount of time you took to get your UPSR certificate. If that really meant anything anyway.

Just think. 12 years. That is basically the time you have left to do anything meaningful with your life. How long does it take to do anything meaningful?

Well, you can start up something solid. But setting it up will take a 5-year plan. That is just the setting up. To see it blossom and enjoy its benefits, you’re looking at a 10-year plan.

If your first 5-year plan fails to launch, then you can try another one. But you only get two tries. In your second try, you only have 7 years left, remember?

So, if you have only two tries left, what are you going to do with it?

What’s it gonna be? Start a company? Build a house? Become an entrepreneur? Own a business? Change your job? Taste success? Get married? Have children? Travel to 5 countries abroad? Scale 3 mountains? Run a full marathon? Eat a choice cut of medium done steak? Walk into your favourite chicken restaurant? Ride a bicycle? Enjoy strawberries?

That’s why I hate delays. Traffic jams. Unpunctuality. Slow laptops. Bad internet connection. All those things suck your time away. Ultimately, it is sucking away your life. If those time-thieves are factored in, how much “real life” time do you have left? You only have 12 years. How much more do you want to lose… Do you want only nine years left? Eight? Or seven? Get careless, and you won’t even have time to enter primary school.

I don’t know about you guys. But the next time you see strawberries along the supermarket aisle, I suggest you grab it. If you see a budget deal to travel, go for it. If you really feel like your favorite chicken, go for it. If you really need a new tech device to step things up a notch, get it. If you want to start up something big, start it. If you want to undertake anything of significant value, do it. If you want to get on a mission, get on it.

I suggest you do it now.

This is your life, and it’s ending one minute at a time.
